This is so cool/genius.

Yesterday there was a Volunteer Day at our venue the Flint Local 432. 6 years ago I put in about 30 hours of volunteer work doing some painting, ceiling scraping, cleaning, construction, etc. You may hear me talk about that place a lot on here, in Alternative Press and through The Swellers overall.

We’re extremely excited that the construction is going on, heating/cooling is finished, bathrooms are finished, store front is almost finished and soon… we get to play there again. It’s been over 6 years, but it’s almost fate to open in time for our 10 year anniversary.

Trying to find out if it’ll be open sooner than we think… we may be doing something really special there. You may want to save up some gas money and head to Flint in the next few months.. Fingers crossed.
